When you go on holiday, you have the following options. Depending on your needs, you can make a choice.
Option 1) Keep the scanning service running
KLARA Scanning does not scan 100% of your physical mail, so it is recommended to empty your mailbox regularly. If you are not expecting important letters or have deadlines to meet, you can continue to use scanning. You will receive letters physically in the mailbox and you will not be able to read them until your return. Based on previous experience, we recommend you, in this case, a maximum absence of 1-4 weeks (depending on your physical letter volume, of course).
Option 2) Cancel KLARA Scanning
You can cancel the service and your redirection to the scan centre will be stopped. Therewith there are no costs, and the mail is delivered at home, or you can order another redirection, e.g., family member at Swiss Post, or the service “Retain mail”. Both are services provided by Swiss Post for a fee. Unfortunately, a refund of the subscription is, in this case, not possible. If you want to use the service again after your holidays, you will have to reactivate it.
Option 3) Retaining mail and KLARA scanning
Unfortunately, you cannot forward your mail to KLARA and retain the physical mail at the branch. Technically, this is not possible. To avoid having to set it up again, you can keep KLARA Scanning active (subscription costs still apply) and order the ”Retain mail” service. After expiry of the ”Retain mail” service, please contact our support, allowing us to reactivate the redirection to the scan centre (this is free of charge for you).
Option 4) EDS Butler Service
Are you often or for a long time abroad and need all your letters digitally? Deadlines are often short? In this case we recommend the EDS scanning service. You can order a redirection service for all your mail from Swiss Post and have it scanned by EDS. You can find more information and prices here.
